Across multiple sign-ups, recurring issues have caused delays and complications, including:
AIIA accepts responsibility for these errors, as manager roles were not clearly defined. Moving forward, AIIA will provide clear guidance and training to all managers on their team-building responsibilities.
Complete all steps below before sending the booking link:
Help client download Coinbase, Telegram, and BonChat on their mobile device. Coinbase must be downloaded using the AIIA referral link: https://coinbase.com/join/6AK7X8H?src=ios-link
Help client create accounts and sign in to all three apps on their mobile device.
Add client to the BG 101 group chat on Telegram.
Verify name match across all three sources (see Wire Transfer Verification below).
Ensure the wire transfer is completed with an additional 5% for fees.
Inform client that setup takes 30–60 minutes depending on app familiarity and Wi-Fi quality.
Inform client they must wait for instructions during the call and not attempt any steps on their own, regardless of prior experience.
Inform client of the $50.00/hr troubleshooting fee if they bypass the AIIA service call and need help afterward (see Unauthorized Self-Service Policy below).
Confirm all apps are installed and functional on the client’s phone. Even if the client says they have them on a computer or other device, verify on their mobile device.
Only after all steps above are complete, forward the booking link to the client: https://calendly.com/byuhaiiaclub/aiia-service-call. The client (not the manager) books the appointment. The DSJ website link will be provided directly by AIIA, not the manager.
Before any wire transfer, verify in person that the client’s full legal name matches exactly across:
Government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or passport) — this is the authoritative source.
Bank account name.
Coinbase account name.
If any names don’t match, the client must resolve the discrepancy before transferring. The manager may accompany the client to the bank but the client handles all interactions. Do not store, photograph, or retain any copy of the client’s ID — visual verification only.
Account setup must be completed only during a scheduled AIIA service call. Clients must not attempt any setup steps independently.
AIIA is not responsible for errors, lost funds, or account issues resulting from unauthorized self-service attempts.
If a client bypasses the service call, encounters problems, and requests help, a fee of $50.00 per hour will be charged for all recovery work (calls, troubleshooting, fund recovery, third-party coordination).
The manager must make the client aware of this policy before onboarding begins.
If back-to-back appointments are scheduled and a client has not completed all prerequisites, the appointment may be rescheduled. The manager will be notified and must ensure the client is fully prepared before the next appointment.
